I know it doesn’t count

I use OmniFocus to keep me on task and try and keep me from letting things get too far out of whack. There is a repeating task to do a blog post every five days. Needless to say, that task has been uncompleted more often than not recently.

The main reason is my general resistance to do small “throw away” posts just to check it off. If I’m going to do a post, I want to spend the effort in doing it. As a result, I will not make the effort as I can’t spend the time that I feel I should spend.

As you’ve likely noticed, I have a plug-in that turns a day’s worth of Twitter “tweets” into a post. That, too, has rules as I try not to do tweets unless I plan to do a day’s worth as I don’t want a post with only one or two entries in it.

Of course, there are no rules with blogging. Nobody is really going to hold it against me if I don’t blog on a regular schedule. Will you?
