Growing up as a geek, life was not always easy. I had my fair share of ridicule and scorn, but generally came out of it unscathed. None-the-less, I’m enjoying that more and more people are realizing that we weren’t mistaken to take that road in life. We tend to make a better living, are better lovers, and now dads.

One Billion Mazes
For the maze solving craving in all of us. You can drill down to any of 1,000,000,000 mazes on this site. That’s right, one billion (with a b). For me, the resulting link downloaded a file without a pdf extension, but adding it made it come right up. Most of the time, it should just pop up in your browser if you have Acrobat installed.
If they ever do a site with one billion sudoku puzzles, then I would be in trouble.
Google Earth
Google Earth is perhaps one of the best ways to waste quite a bit of time. You can zoom in on any point on earth and go sightseeing at all sorts of fun places. They have versions for both Windows and Mac. The best part, of course, is it’s free.
If you find anything fun, let me know.
Find out the value of your home
I was turned onto an interesting website to find out the value of a home as well as the surrounding homes in the neighborhood. Zillow.com uses an interface similar to Google maps but adds all sorts of information about home values, comps, and trends. I’ll have to keep this in mind if we ever look into moving.

Video: Inside a Secret Netflix Shipping Center
Must be a Netflix day. This video from my hometown CBS affiliate shows the shipping & receiving center for Netflix in So Cal. Pretty interesting. I can only hope the folks doing the processing get paid pretty well.
So the debate begins
Now that I have a shiny new blog, I now need to decide what kind of information I want to put here. I can comment on every little thing I can think of or run across but is my opinion so darn important as to warrant the space even if it is on my own server? I could also just post links, but there are so many decent sites that do that so why should I?
I guess I’ll just let the Spirit lead me and see what happens. Of course, if you have an opinion, please let me know.
My blog breathes its first breath
Well, this appears to have worked. I just want you to know that I am not the biggest journal writer so posts will probably not be frequent, but I am always looking to expand my horizons and certainly want to keep in touch with friends and family.
Make yourself at home and feel free to make your thoughts known.
