{"id":753,"date":"2010-07-24T21:27:42","date_gmt":"2010-07-25T05:27:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mike.peay.us\/blog\/?p=753"},"modified":"2017-08-19T16:30:33","modified_gmt":"2017-08-19T23:30:33","slug":"a-handful-of-omnifocus-items","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mike.peay.us\/blog\/archives\/753","title":{"rendered":"A handful of OmniFocus items"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" title=\"OmniFocus\" src=\"http:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/norbauer\/pics\/37\/omnifocus_logo.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"140\" height=\"140\" \/>I&#8217;ve mentioned before how I use <a href=\"http:\/\/www.omnigroup.com\/products\/omnifocus\">OmniFocus<\/a> to manage everything in my life. It has been an essential tool for me for several years. So much so, I can&#8217;t say how excited I am about the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.omnigroup.com\/blog\/entry\/omnifocus_for_ipad_status_update_soon_but_not_tomorrow\/\">pending iPad version<\/a> which I believe will become very critical for keeping me sane. I check the App Store a couple times a day but so far, nuthin&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re not familiar with OmniFocus or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.davidco.com\/\">David Allen<\/a>&#8216;s Getting Things Done methodology, please take the time to read &#8216;<a href=\"http:\/\/norbauer.com\/notebooks\/ideas\/notes\/the-psychology-of-omnifocus\">The Psychology of OmniFocus&#8217;<\/a> which is a better write-up than I would be able to put together on how GTD works and specifically<\/p>\n<p>The last thought is that with this post (and the associated task &#8216;Write a blog post&#8217;), I will for the first time in longer than I can remember, be caught up with all of my overdue tasks. I&#8217;ve <a href=\"http:\/\/mike.peay.us\/blog\/archives\/495\">written about<\/a> having challenges keeping up with tasks before and I have improved, but I seem forever behind. That&#8217;ll change when I wake up tomorrow and when I get to work on Monday, but if I can continue to keep due dates to a minimum, I may actually start getting to those things I&#8217;ve haven&#8217;t been able to get to.
